When the new baby horse turns one it means it’s time for a smash cake session!

Bruin has settled in like a champ at the barn and has become our new favorite friend. He’s as sweet as can be and acts like a giant Labrador, always on the lookout for scratches and treats.

We were sure he’d go wild over his smash cake, but after a few sniffing rounds and moving the frosting around, he was over it. His new stuffed animal was much more entertaining for him!

Kevin even came to the rescue and showed him how to eat the cake, but then he proved more interested in getting frosting on his muzzle and then trying to rub it on me afterward

The new barn cat was the only one who really enjoyed the cake, which made for some adorable photos.
