Palos Heights Extended Family Session | D Family | GCP by Nicole
Do you remember those wild pop-up lightning storms that rolled through a few weeks ago? Well, what better day to share them than a rainy one like today—just to brighten things up a bit! ☔️✨
On the way to this session, I drove through downpours so heavy I could barely see and lightning that made me question my career choices …but sure enough, a few miles later the sun popped out and everything looked perfect again. That is—until I pulled into Lake Katherine and the sky turned very dark, very fast.
This was a special extended family session (7 adults + 2 kids!) and it was Grandma’s Christmas gift, so we didn’t have the luxury of a redo. Thankfully, I’ve been photographing the littles since they were newborns, so they’re total pros with me by now. And because we had a clear list of every grouping they wanted ahead of time, we were able to fly through the session without missing a thing.
Even though the weather cut things a little short, we captured everything that mattered most—and the best part? We all made it to our cars just in time before the storm rolled through again. Talk about perfect timing!
