U of I Graduation Session | Maddie | GCP by Nicole

So grateful I got to take Maddie’s University of Illinois graduation photos It feels surreal—like I was just taking her 8th grade pictures. I’ve known her family for years, and watching this milestone unfold was extra special.

Maddie has one of those kind, steady souls that instantly makes you feel happy just being around her. She came into her session with ideas she wanted to include, and I loved that this experience was truly built around her.

Our original session had to be canceled because of rain, but when we rescheduled, the entire campus was covered in snow — which was perfect for Maddie. She loves the snow and had been hoping there would be some during her session. Even her final performance on the football field was in the snow, so it felt like such a full-circle moment.

She’s played piccolo in the Illini Marching Band all four years while earning her degree in chemical engineering (seriously impressive), so of course we included meaningful campus spots in her session.

Maddie has such a bright future ahead, and I can’t wait to see where life takes her next.
