There is just something so special about extended family sessions.

They always seem to go by in the blink of an eye, but they’re filled with the moments that matter most. The whole family together, grandparents with their grandchildren, cousins laughing together, each individual family, couples, siblings, and all of the little connections in between.

Before every session, I have someone put together a list of their must-have photos because I never want to miss the people or relationships that mean the most to your family.

One thing that always makes me smile is when someone asks, “Is it okay if we take one more?” My answer will always be yes. This is your family’s story, and you should never feel like you’re asking for too much.

These sessions aren’t just about checking off a list of group photos. They’re about preserving a season that will never exist in quite the same way again. Children grow, families expand, grandparents age, and life keeps moving. The photos we create become a way to hold onto this chapter a little longer.

Years from now, I hope these images remind you not just of what everyone looked like, but of what it felt like to be surrounded by the people you love most. And to me, that’s what makes extended family sessions so incredibly meaningful. 🤍
